Homemade Cheesy Garlic Bread!

::Homemade Cheesy Garlic Bread::

I was on a roll today, first I made Crockpot Lasagna which turned out AMAZING and then I made Cheesy Garlic Bread from scratch for my side!  I found this recipe on pinterest and recreated it.

Ingredients:

1 cup Warm Water
1 tablespoon Honey
2 1/4 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
1 teaspoon Salt
3 cups Bread Flour
Olive Oil
2 cups mozarella cheese or any cheese you choose to use
1/2 cup butter
Garlic Powder {Amount optional}

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, mix together water, honey and yeast.  Stir ingredients together.  Yeast will appear clumpy after being stirred.  Wait about 5 minutes until mixture begins to look foamy.

After the mixture is foamy, stir in your salt and your bread flour.  I poured the flour in 1/2 cup at a time.

I mixed all ingredients together with my Kitchenaid Mixer on setting 2.  Once dough seems to be pulled away from side of bowl, leave setting 2 in place and let the machine knead the dough for you for 5 minutes.

Once the 5 minutes are up your dough is kneaded and you are ready to continue.  Take a little Olive Oil and grease the edge of the bowl surrounding the dough to prevent sticking as it rises.

Cover the bowl with a dish towel and let rise for 1 hour.
*Your dough will double in size in this amount of time!

After dough has finished rising; seperate dough into two equal sections.  On a cookie sheet roll out your two equal dough sections into long baquette shaped bread.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and allow them to rise for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400'.  Once the dough is finished rising reduce heat to 350' and cook bread for 20 minutes.

Remove bread from the oven after 20 minutes and get ready to add the garlic!

In a small bowl mix together 1/2 cup butter and garlic powder {amount optional} and place in microwave until melted.

Then you will sweep the garlic/butter mixture onto the bread loaves.  Be sure to completely cover the bread top and sides!

Place back in the oven for 5 minutes!

Remove bread from the oven and they should be golden brown and smelling of delicious garlic!  Let bread cool for 15 minutes.  Keep oven on.

After bread has cooled you will slice the bread in 1 inch increments 3/4th way down and apply more of the butter/garlic mixture in between the cuts.

Here comes the cheesy part!!!  In each 1 inch increment pile in as much mozarella cheese as you would like!!!

Place back in the oven for 5 more minutes! and that's it!!

It's alot of work but the outcome is DELICIOUS!
